FIRST TEAMADNOC PRO LEAGUE
Al Wahda achieved a Important victory against their counterpart Al Ain with a score of (2-0) in the “Classico” match held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium as part of the 11th round of the Adnoc PRO League.
Coach Arno fielded a lineup consisting of Mohamed Al Shamsi in goal, Abdullah Al Kurbi, Alaa Zuhair, Lucas Pimenta, Sultan Al Zaabi, Allan Marques, Ahmed Nourallah, Guanca, Bakaev, Facundo, and Omar Khribin.
During the first half, which started with a strong push from Al Ain in the attacking third, Al Wahda managed to neutralize the threat from Al Ain, exploiting defensive gaps in the opposing team amid their offensive efforts. They secured an early lead with a goal from Omar Khribin in the 13th minute, announcing their advantage and subsequently taking control of the match.
The second half didn’t differ much from the first, with an early attacking push from the opposing team and Al Wahda succeeding in adding a second goal, this time through Bakaev in the 53rd minute. The match continued with Al Wahda’s defense shining, effectively repelling Al Ain’s offensive threats, and it concluded with a well-deserved 2-0 victory for Al Wahda.
With this valuable win, Al Wahda raised their points to 20, securing the fourth position and surpassing Al Ain, maintaining a 7-point gap from the league leader.
