A positive draw gives Al Ain the qualification card to ADIB Cup Semifinals.

The 1-1 draw between Al Wahda and Al Ain at Al Nahyan Stadium in the leg 2/2 of ADIB Cup quarter finals gives Al Ain the qualification card to Al Ain due to the competition rules.

The Spanish coach entered the match with a similar lineup of the away game where he played Rashed Ali as a GK, and Pimenta, Ruben, Al Kurbi, and Fares Juma in the defensive line, while Allan, Silva, Pizzi, Muniz, and Tahnoon played in the midfield besides Joao Pedro as a striker.

The first half witnessed higher ball possession percentage for the Maroon with several threatening opportunities, but without the enough luck to score the first goal in the match until the 25th minute where Allan crossed the ball to Khaled Eisa who miscalculated the distance which made the ball fall to Pedro who sent it directly to the goal announcing Al Wahda’s first goal in the match. After the game was resumed, the Maroon continued to threaten Al Ain’s goal, but without succeeding in scoring the second in which the first half was finished one to null for Al Wada.

In the second half ; Al Ain appeared more dangerous in the beginning where the Maroon defenses managed to deal with Al Ain strikers before Al Ain manage to score the equalizer in the 72nd minute through a header by Suffian Rahemee. The Maroon players tried to score the second, but without having the luck to score and the match was finished 1-1 in which Al Ain qualifies due to the competition rules.
