Arno Buitenweg: Facing the league leaders is not an additional challenge, and we are ready to confront the strongest attack.

Arno Buitenweg , the head coach, confirmed the team’s readiness to face Al-Wasl at Al Nahyan Stadium in the 10th round of the Adnoc Professional League. This statement was made during the pre-match press conference.

Arno Buitenweg stated, “We are physically, technically, and even mentally prepared for the match against Al-Wasl. We will face a team with a fierce attacking line that has scored 16 goals in the last 4 matches. However, we are capable of limiting the strength of this attack and exploiting their weaknesses from another perspective. There is a lot of respect for Al-Wasl’s ‘undefeated’ streak, but I trust my team’s players, and we will maintain the three points at Al Nahyan Stadium.”

Regarding the team’s absences, the coach confirmed the continued absence of Suhail Al Mansoori due to injury, in addition to Mohamed Al Shamsi, who is currently facing a health setback, expressing his hope that both players will return to the team’s lineup as soon as possible.

Addressing the importance of the match, the coach added, “Every match has its own significance for me, and facing the league leaders does not pose an extra challenge for the team. However, winning could significantly help us reduce the gap. Therefore, I call on our loyal fans to support the team, provide players with moral incentives, positive energy, and unite for the sake of achieving success.”
